Schon früher konnte ich mich für ungewöhnliche Fotos begeistern. Mit der Lomografie begann meine Vorliebe für den etwas anderen Bild-Look. Der Begriff “Lomografie“ kommt von der russischen Kultkamera Lomo LC-A. Ich hatte ein funktionsfähiges Modell sowie drei weiteren Plastik-Lomos mit Spezial-Linsen. Genervt hat mich allerdings das Film-Handling. Ständig Filme kaufen und entwickeln lassen geht nicht nur ins Geld, es ist einfach unflexibel.
Die Lomos gerieten in Vergessenheit und wurden später verkauft.
Geblieben ist eine spiegellose Systemkamera, eine Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III. Die Olympus ist nicht mehr ganz neu, dennoch eine ausgezeichnete Kamera im “Micro Four Thirds” Kosmos. Sie sieht verdammt gut aus, ist handlich und man kann mit verschiedenen Objektiven experimentieren, da sie einen ausgezeichneten Bildstabilisator verbaut hat.
Besonders beeindruckt bin ich von Makro-Fotografen mit ihren tollen Insekten-Fotos. Auch ich möchte diese Art zu fotografieren erlernen. Also habe ich zwei Bücher zum Thema Makro-Fotografie verschlungen. Dabei wurde auch erklärt, wie man mit »alten Linsen« und einem Umkehr- oder Retro-Adapter kostengünstig in die Welt der Makro-Fotografie einsteigen kann. Also recherchierte ich weiter in diversen Facebook-Gruppen, bis mich der Altglas-Virus endgültig gepackt hat…

Auf Youtube holte ich mir weiteres Wissen zum Thema »Altglas«. Ein empfehlenswerter Kanal ist zum Beispiel AmazinNatureAlpha oder der von Sven Klügl. Hier erfährt man neben der Verwendung von alten Objektiven auch jede Menge Wissenswertes über Fotografie.
Damit ist es beschlossene Sache: Ich werde Altglas-Fotograf. Aktuell bin ich auf der Suche nach neuen, »alten« Objektiven mit ihren individuellen Macken. Meine ersten beiden Objektive habe ich bereits ersteigert. Alles Klassiker: das Minolta Rokkor 50mm F1.7 mit MD Anschluss sowie das Tokina RMC 35-135mm F3,5-4,5 dazu einen passenden Adapter MD auf MFT von Kecay. Aktuell verwende ich eine spiegellose Systemkamera mit stabilisiertem MFT-Sensor. Ob das mit meinen Makro-Plänen funktionieren wird, wird sich zeigen.

Beginnen werde ich meine Altglas-Karriere mit meiner Olympus M5 Mark III. Die stabilisierte Kamera mit MFT-Sensor hat alle notwendigen Features für die Altglas-Fotografie. Focus-Lupe, Fokus-Peaking sind die wichtigen Funktionen für den fehlenden Autofokus. Für meine Makro Fotografie hat die Kamera auch eine Stacking Funktion – also alles was man braucht um scharfe Aufnahmen zu erstellen.
Allerdings muss dann auch der Cropfaktor berücksichtigt werden.
Alte Objektive sind ja für das Kleinbild-Format gebaut worden. Die Olympus hat aber einen kleineren Sensor. Dieser nutzt nur einen Teil der verfügbaren Bildinformation. Es wird, einfach gesagt, nur der mittlere Teil des Bildes genutzt. Das wiederum hat den Vorteil, dass die unscharfen Randbereiche wegfallen. Der Umrechnungsfaktor (Cropfaktor) beträgt bei MFT 2.0
Somit hat mein 50mm Minolta Rokkor umgerechnet eine 100 mm Brennweite.
